As a manufacturer of technical adhesive tapes, certoplast Technische Klebebänder GmbH can draw on almost 100 years of experience in the production of adhesive tapes. Founded in 1991 from the former adhesive tape division of Vorwerk & Sohn, a rigorous “re-engineering” led to successful positioning on the market in the core areas of automotive, electrical industry and insulation technology.
Dedicated employees see the customer’s wishes as the top priority of their actions, so that customized solutions have become a specialty of our company. The rapid implementation of technical requirements, direct cooperation with users and the greatest possible flexibility are the pillars on which the company philosophy is based.
An answer for every question
The greatest attention is paid to the heart of the product, the adhesive:
The in-house formulation of adhesives makes it possible to offer an answer to almost every question on the market. Only solvent-free adhesive systems are used. On the one hand, these are hot-melt systems that are applied after melting, whereby UV-crosslinkable systems are also used depending on the application. On the other hand, we use acrylate-based dispersion adhesives. This means that our entire range of adhesives is limited to solvent-free systems – our contribution as a sustainable company.
The management
certoplast Technische Klebebänder is a family-run company that is managed by its shareholders.
Dr. Andreas Hohmann studied chemistry at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf and received his doctorate in 2006 for his work in the field of organic synthesis. In the same year, Dr. Hohmann also took over the management of research and development at certoplast Technische Klebebänder GmbH. His appointment as Head of Global Sales in 2009 was preceded by several successful product launches. With the ongoing assumption of more responsibility, Dr. Hohmann was promoted to Managing Director of certoplast Technische Klebebänder GmbH in the course of 2020. Since his appointment as Managing Director, he has been responsible for business in the EMEA region and global sales. Dr. Hohmann is an active member of the IVK (Industrieverband Klebstoffe e.V.) and Afera (European Adhesive Tape Association).
Dr. René Rambusch has a degree in business administration and completed his doctorate with a thesis on the interfaces between controlling, corporate organization and marketing. He worked at the Center for Controlling and Management at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management and for The Boston Consulting Group in the Munich and Hamburg offices. He joined the company in 2011 to drive forward further internationalization and prepare for the generational transition.
